Each designer tends to have a specific size guide, and not all designers follow size guides you normally refer to for sizing.  We highly recommend reviewing the size guide listed on the specific designer dress brand of choice before making your special occasion dress purchase.  As a general rule when in doubt of a size option, always chose the larger size. It's easy to take a dress in, but nearly impossible to add width.

HOW TO MEASURE YOURSELF AT HOME:

Most gowns are made with the following measurements needed: Bust, Waist and Hips. Follow the photo below for how to measure yourself at home. We always recommend getting measured at a bridal / formal boutique, but you can take your measurements at home too!

Bust: Widest part of your bust. Do not wear a bra. Always leave 1-2 inches extra room.

Waist: Smallest part of your waist, above your belly button

Hips: Widest part of your hips. We recommend wearing tights or leggings - no jeans or joggers.
